Borouge partners with NPCC to provide essential materials for UAE energy initiatives

Borouge Plc disclosed today a fresh agreement with the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC), a prominent UAE-based EPC firm.

This two-year contract, valued at nearly AED60 million, mandates Borouge to furnish NPCC with steel pipe coating technologies, which will be incorporated in infrastructure and energy ventures.

Key UAE energy initiatives, including the Borouge 4, ADNOC Gas' ESTIDAMA program, MERAM project, ADNOC's Hail and Ghasha Gas Development initiative, and the ADNOC Offshore Umm Lulu field, will receive critical materials from Borouge as a part of this pact.

Borouge's CEO, Hazeem Sultan Al Suwaidi, remarked, "Our ongoing collaboration with NPCC underscores our dedication to bolstering the UAE's energy sectors. Our advanced steel-pipe coatings are instrumental in fortifying natural gas pipelines and refineries. This contract reaffirms our enduring bond with NPCC and showcases our capability to drive domestic and global significant projects."

Borouge's tri-layer polyethylene coatings fortify pipelines in diverse projects, shielding them from challenges like mechanical damage, soil chemicals, UV rays during outdoor storage, and extreme temperatures.

NPCC's CEO, Ahmed Salem Al Dhaheri, conveyed, "Teaming up again, we aim to offer unparalleled solutions for the Al Dhafra gas pipeline project. This venture demands top-notch materials and groundbreaking innovation. We're eager to further our legacy of distinction, leveraging Borouge's pioneering polyolefin solutions for pivotal infrastructure tasks."

In earlier collaborations, Borouge and NPCC supplied steel pipe coatings for more than 15,000 kilometers of pipelines in regional infrastructure ventures.
